The film was made over a period of four years, and the emotional impact of going through fertility treatment as a single woman is clearly conveyed.
It also includes reactions from family and friends, and features a woman who needs egg as well as sperm donation.
There is one copy in the library available to borrow, or can be ordered from their website

DVD is now available.
Produced and directed by Liesel Evans, the 45 minute film shows parents and children in ten families answering questions about their experiences of ‘telling’ and continuing to talk together as children grow and change. South West clip filmed during consultation on donor anonymity featuring Network members Judy, Matthew and Patrick (age 10) Watson, Sarah Parker an egg donor and Joanne Day from Centre for Reproductive Medicine Bristol. All in favour of ending anonymity. New Donor Sibling Registry Dec. 2002 to 2003 Series of clips from American TV shows featuring Wendy Kramer and her DI conceived son Ryan. Together they started the Donor Sibling Registry.

Searching Questions: Identity, Origins and Adoption Devised by Julia Feast of British Agencies for Adoption and Fostering 2003
Two hour video featuring adopted people talking about what propelled them to search for information about their birth parents or not and what it feels like to not know about your origins. Video has a table of contents and running times for particular sections. A workbook suitable for group work led by adoption professionals accompanies the video.

A DIFFERENT STORY (2003) A 30 minute video ( also available as DVD)
made by DC Network, which features seven young people conceived by anonymous donor insemination, and told the facts of their conception from an early age. They provide varied positive reflections on family relationships, sharing the information with others, and thoughts about the donor and half-siblings.

Video featuring Barry Stevens who was born as a result of DI fifty years ago. During his search for his biological father he unearths a half brother who is also hoping to trace their past.

FAMILIES FROM ASSISTED CONCEPTION: HOW HAVE THEY FARED? (2001)
A set of four videos produced by Alexina Mc Whinnie of the University of Dundee which consist of a series of conversations where participants discuss important issues surrounding donor insemination. Titles can be viewed independently and include written notes with each video.

THE CHOICES AND CHALLENGES OF DONOR INSEMINATION (1998) An audiotape of discussion around donor conception from the Canadian Infertility Network, lead by Carol Frost Vercollone, the co-author of "Helping the Stork" Features a representative of the Xytex sperm bank in the USA, which offers donor photographs and videos, speaking about their service.

EGG, SPERM AND EMBRYO DONATION (1999) Audiotape from the Canadian Infertility Network, which covers a wide range of issues. These include lessons from adoption, grief and loss in third party conception, the experiences of donor offspring, a DI Dad and single parent Mother. Also discusses egg and embryo donation and egg sharing, legal issues for lesbian families, and identity release of sperm donors

THE OFFSPRING SPEAK: AN INTERNATIONAL FORUM ON DONOR CONCEPTION (2000) Video from the Canadian Infertility Network. Includes historical perspectives, personal stories from adult DI offspring, research findings, parallels between adoption and DI and a sperm bank in the USA preparing for the identity release of donors. The video is recorded on long play, and so may not be suitable for older video recorders.

SEEDS OF SECRECY (1993) Video made for the BBC "Public Eye" series. The programme features the original DI Network steering group addressing issues of secrecy and openness.
